Sun Balm was created with a dual purpose in mind: enjoy the healing benefits of the sun while also providing a light protective layer for your skin. This unique balm combines the nourishing benefits of grass-fed tallow with other natural ingredients that may help protect your skin.

Sun Balm is easy to apply, with a smooth and non-greasy texture that glides effortlessly onto the skin. It is suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin, and can be used on your face and body. With Sun Balm, you can enjoy time outdoors while providing your skin with natural and moisturizing ingredients. Orange Balm pairs well with Sun Balm for an extra boost of skin nourishment after you're outdoors.

NOTE: this product is not FDA approved, and it is not classified as a sunscreen. It is intended to be a nourishing balm for your skin with added benefits while you’re outdoors. We encourage you to use proper sun protective clothing when spending time outdoors, and seek shade whenever it’s possible.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

100% Grass-Fed Tallow
Loaded with nutrients such as vitamin A, D, E and K, antioxidants, and omega-3 fatty acids. Our tallow is sourced from pasture-raised, 100% grass-fed cows, with an environment free of pesticides and pharmaceuticals. We only use tallow derived from beef kidney suet, which is the most nutrient dense. Tallow is one of the most nourishing products you can use on your skin.

Certified Organic Avocado Oil:
A great source of vitamin A, C, and E that is nourishing to the skin, our cold pressed avocado oil is USDA Certified Organic. We selected this oil for its anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and moisturizing benefits.

Certified Organic Jojoba Oil:
Jojoba oil is an excellent source of vitamin A, E, omega-6 fatty acids, and antioxidants. Our unrefined and cold pressed jojoba oil is USDA Certified Organic. Jojoba oil is easily absorbed, moisturizing, and soothing for your skin.

Certified Organic Coconut Oil:
Our extra virgin coconut oil is USDA Certified Organic and full of essential fatty acids and vitamin E which deeply moisturizes the skin.

Wild Harvested Carrot Seed Oil:
A great source of vitamin A, B, C, D, E and F. Our virgin carrot seed oil is cold pressed, wildcrafted, and high in antioxidants. It also contains natural SPF properties. This is not an essential oil, it is intended for massage and skincare purposes.

Non-Nano and Uncoated Zinc Oxide:
This mineral creates a protective layer on the skin which can help create SPF protection and protect against UVA and UBA rays. Non-nano allows you to enjoy the benefits of zinc oxide in the safest way possible. Our zinc oxide is also uncoated, meaning it hasn't been coated with an inert substance.

How To Use

Suggested Use:
- Standard Use: apply 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapply every 2-3 hours, or as needed
- Swimming/Water Use: apply 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapply every 1 hour, or as needed
- Sweating/Sports: apply 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapply every 1-2 hours, or as needed

Applying: apply to your skin directly and rub in as needed. Due to the non-nano zinc oxide in Sun Balm, there might be a slightly white appearance on your skin (dependent on your skin tone). This is usually temporary and disappears once it is rubbed in. If needed, wait five minutes and rub it in again until you achieve your desired appearance.

My Go-To Sunscreen!

I love the sun balm! It has been the only sun screen I've had to use this year. It provides enough protection for myself and kids at the pool, beach, or wherever. I love that it also nourishes the skin, instead of piling on harmful chemicals. I find it easy to rub into the skin and have only had to reapply if we are out in direct sun for more than a few hours.

Love this one for the sun!!! It’s so much better for you than the sunscreen you can buy in the store!!! And a little goes a long way. Living in Florida this is the best balm

No burning

This balm was great for the Arizona summer. Our daughter burns quickly with other sunscreens, and with this on, she never burned. The one time I forgot it for vacation, she burned after multiple applications of other sunscreens. The white tint is a little strong when first applied- our son doesn’t mind but daughter does. I found using a beauty blender or makeup brush for application made the white cast much more tolerable for our daughter. This is a summer must have for us
